Mary Lou Barrey, 81, formerly of Houston Ave., Montgomery, died Friday, December 16, 2011 at Highlands Care Center, Laporte.

Born Dec. 29, 1929, in Muncy, she was a daughter of the late Kenneth and Mary (Crist) Hill.  On April 30, 1963, she married Vincent F. Barrey, who preceded her in death on Nov. 28, 1987 after 24 years of marriage.

A graduate of Muncy High School, she was previously employed as a receptionist and telephone operator at the former Sweet Steel in Williamsport.  Mary Lou was a member of the Church of the Resurrection.

Surviving are two sisters, Beverly A. (Kurt) Hausammann of Hughesville and Diane (Phillip) Wagner of Reading; one brother, Kenneth Hill of Muncy; and nine nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 9:30 to 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 20, at Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy, where the funeral will be held at 10 a.m.  Officiating will be her pastor, Rev. Glenn McCreary.  Burial will follow in Muncy Cemetery.
