Roland H. Bitler, 66, of Picture Rocks, died Thursday, Dec. 8, 2011.

Born May 17, 1945 in Picture Rocks, he was a son of the late William and Lynda (Price) Bitler.  He was a 1963 graduate of Hughesville High School and was employed for many years at Young Industries in Muncy.

Surviving are two brothers, Marlin Bitler of Picture Rocks and Ralph Bitler of Beaver Lake; two sisters, Barbara Schultz and Betsy Charles, both of Hughesville; and numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents he was predeceased by one brother, Raymond “Pete” Bitler.

A graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Hughesville.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Picture Rocks Volunteer Fire Co., c/o Picture Rocks Post Office, Picture Rocks, PA 17762.
