Arlene E. McCoy

Arlene E. McCoy, 85, of Muncy, died Saturday, December 3, 2011, at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center.

Born February 28, 1926, in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late William W. and Minnie E. Bartlow Yeagle. Her husband of 22 years, Edward L. McCoy, preceded her in death on April 1, 1994.

Arlene was of the Lutheran faith and enjoyed ceramics, crocheting, baking and reading.

Surviving are two sons, Daryl R. Roupp of Muncy and Edward A. (Joy) McCoy of Cogan Station; four daughters, Donna A. (Robert) O’Connor of Muncy, Virginia A. Mahaffey of South Williamsport, Jacqueline L. Kinney of Williamsport and Susan L. (Rick) Southard of New York; two brothers, Alfred Yeagle of Hughesville and James Yeagle of Watsontown; two sisters, Lois Rider of Hughesville and Elma Mines of Williamsport; nine grandchildren, Collin McCoy, Abby McCoy, Ryan O’Connor, Tia Kinney-Weber, Meghan Roy, Delaney Hames, Tamera Silvagni, Jimmy Messner and Mellisa Messner; and five great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Arlene was preceded in death by a son, Delancey Roupp; a sister, Ruth Paris; and two brothers, Donald Bartlow and Robert Yeagle.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, at the McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, 557 E. Water St., Hughesville, with the Rev. Cinda J. Brucker officiating. Burial will follow in Twin Hills Memorial Park. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
