Cindy Sue Walters

(October 4, 1962 - November 10, 2011)

Cindy Sue Walters, 49, of Picture Rocks, passed away, suddenly, Thursday, November 10, 2011 at the Williamsport Regional Medical Center.

Born in Muncy on October 4, 1962, she was the daughter of Donald L. Derr, Sr. of Watsontown R.R. and the late Edna E. Simon Derr. She married Thomas J. Walters on May 3, 1996 and has celebrated 15 years of marriage.

A 1982 graduate of Warrior Run High School, she had worked for Spring Window Fashions for 24 years and more recently for Queens of Clean.

She attended Picture Rocks Baptist Church and was a member of the Hughesville Moose. She enjoyed cleaning, traveling, especially to the beach, camping and spending time at the river lot and spending time with her husband and family.

Surviving besides her husband and father are two sons and a daughter-in-law: Jason A. Heffelfinger of Milton and James M. and Rachel Heffelfinger of Montgomery; a daughter, Jenell R. Walters of Harrisburg; two brothers and sister-in-laws: Donald L. and Cynthia Derr, Jr. of Muncy and Charles E. and Wendy Derr of Watsontown; two sisters and brother-in-laws: Laura M. and Lester Foreman of Watsontown and Helen E. and Craig June of Muncy and a grandchild on the way.

In addition to her mother Cindy was predeceased by a brother Timothy L. Derr.

Family and Friends are invited to call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 14, and from 12-1 p.m. Tuesday at Brooks Funeral Home, 207 Broadway Street, Turbotville. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Elimsport Cemetery.
