Lillian Smith

Lillian B. Smith, 96, of Duboistown, died Thursday, November 10, 2011, at the Williamsport Home.
Born December 18, 1914, in Muncy Creek Township, she was a daughter of the late Edward L. and Mertie E. (Whitmoyer) Bigger. Her husband of 34 years, Paul Smith, Sr., preceded her in death in October of 1966.
Lillian was retired from the Williamsport Hospital where she was an aide for many years. She had also worked at the former Carey-McFalls.
Lillian enjoyed gardening, crocheting, and her dogs.
Surviving are a son, Paul Smith, Jr. of Phoenix, AZ; three daughters, Jane (Carl) Smith of Duboistown, Patricia (William) Thomas of Wadesworth, OH and Donna (Eugene) Fedder of Montoursville; 12 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren; and a great-great granddaughter.
In addition to her parents and husband, Lillian was preceded in death by three sisters, Annie Michael Friant, Ellen Long and Edna Liebel; and three brothers, Leonard, Donald and Denzil Bigger.
Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Hughesville, with the Rev. Dan Cale officiating. The family will provide the flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Lycoming County SPCA, 2805 Reach Rd., Williamsport, PA 17701, or the American Lung Association, 1301 Pennsylvania Ave. NW, Suite 800, Washington, DC 20004.
