Michael L. Shaffer, 53 of Watsontown, died Friday, October 21, 2011 at his home.

Born December 1, 1957 in Montgomery, he was a son of Austin L. and Sarah J. (Aderhold) Shaffer.

Michael was a 1974 graduate of Warrior Run High School.

He enjoyed helping around his father’s farm and hunting. 

Surviving in addition to his parents of Watsontown are one brother and sister-in-law, Daniel L. and Faye Shaffer of Milton; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Patricia A. Grove and Susan L. and Lester Gross, all of Lewisberry; 10 nieces and nephews; and nine great nieces and great nephews.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Joella Arthur, who died in May 1987.

Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, at Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, 308 Main St., Watsontown, where the funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Officiating will be Pastor Dave Martino, minister of Community Mennonite Fellowship. Burial will follow in Twin Hills Memorial Park, Muncy.
