Esther E. Reese

(April 23, 1932 - October 19, 2011)

Esther E. Reese, 79, passed away October 19, 2011 at the Watsontown Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Born April 23, 1932 in Montour County, she was the daughter of the late Hurley and Ruth Marie (Geiswhite) Appleman.

On Oct 18, 1952 she married Marlin R. (Skip) Reese and they have celebrated 59 years of marriage.

Esther was a member of Holy Spirit Lutheran Church for over 50 years. She worked at Philco Ford, Montgomery Mills, the Milton Shoe Factory and was a very devoted homemaker.

Surviving besides her husband are a son and daughter-in-law, James and Ruth Ann Appleman, of Turbotville; a sister and brother-in-law, Nellie and James Crawford of Watsontown; two grandchildren, Timothy and Joel Appleman.

In addition to her parents Esther was predeceased by a sister, Charlotte Appleman.

Family and friends are invited to call from 10-11AM Saturday at Brooks Funeral Home, 207 Broadway Street, Turbotville where a funeral service will be held at 11 AM with Rev. Dan May of the Holy Spirit Evangelical Lutheran Church, Turbotville officiating. Burial will follow in the Turbotville Cemetery.
