Walter G. Masser, III, 54, of Cochran Ave. Duboistown, died Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at his home, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born October 12, 1956 in Williamsport, he was a son of Walter and Evelyn Matthews Masser.

He was a 1975 graduate of Williamsport High School. He was a truck driver and had been employed by Eureka Paper Box, Watsontown, Gallagher’s and PJAX trucking. Walt was a member of Lycoming Presbyterian Church and he enjoyed activities at church. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, antiquing, and rides in the country. He especially loved spending time with his family.

Surviving are his wife Debora (Gulick) Masser, who married Jan. 28, 2005, four children Logan W. Masser of Williamsport, David C. Connelly of Williamsport, Patricia L. Connelly of Barbours, and Jennifer L. Connelly of Virginia, two grandchildren Lillian M. and Cameron W. Connelly, a brother Ronald A. Haines of Jersey Shore, a sister Susan L. Masser of Jersey Shore, and two special nephews Curtis and Michael Adams.

Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. Friday at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St. Williamsport. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at Lycoming Presbyterian Church 825 Arch St. Williamsport, with The Rev. Richard W. Miller officiating. Burial will be private in Montoursville Cemetery.

The family will provide the flowers and suggests memorial contributions be made to Sun Home Hospice, 1601 Sycamore Road Montoursville, PA 17754  or The Cancer Center at Geisinger Medical Center in care of Geisinger Health System, 100 N. Academy Street, Danville, Pa 17822-4020.
