Lynn I. Miller, Sr.

Lynn I. Miller Sr., 71, of 2888 Heshbon Road, went to be with his Lord and savior, Monday, September 19, 2011, at his home following a long battle with cancer.

Born April 10, 1940 in Cammal, he was the son of Donald I. and Vivien W. Raemore Miller.

Lynn and his wife, the former Normalee J. Mingle, observed their 43rd anniversary December 31, 2010.

Lynn was a driver for Susquehanna Trailways, a Navy veteran and a 1957 graduate of Jersey Shore High School. He was a member of Heshbon Park United Methodist Church and church treasurer, the Montgomery American Legion, Jersey Shore Elks and Williamsport Moose Lodge No. 145. He received the Pilgrim degree from the Moose.

Lynn loved model trains and was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Surviving in addition to his wife are a son, Lynn I. (Rebecca) Miller Jr. of Croydon; daughters, Tanya J. Miller of Williamsport, Stephanie M. Vanderlin of Altoona, Lori A. Williams of E. Stroudsburg and Pamela J. (Bryan) Sanker of Morrisdale; sisters, Cora Genevieve Lockcuff of Linden and Ruth Shipman of Williamsport; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 23, at the Heshbon Park United Methodist Church, 2898 Heshbon Road, with the Rev. Dr. David A. Keller and Rev. Dr. Wayne L. Hepler officiating. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park.

Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Knight-Confer’s, 1914 Memorial Avenue. A Moose Pilgrim service will be at 8:30 p.m. Thursday.

The family will provide the flowers and suggests contributions to the Heshbon Park United Methodist Church or the Moose Heart Gimme Five, Moose Charities, 155 S. International Drive, Mooseheart, IL 60539.
