Ann E. Balzer

(November 19, 1930 - August 13, 2011)
 

Ann E. Balzer, 80, formerly of Montoursville and Hughesville where she had lived with her daughter, Kathryn, went to be with the Lord in Heaven on Saturday August 13, 2011 from Sycamore Manor Health Center.

Ann was born in South Williamsport on November 19, 1930, a daughter of Lawrence E. and Elizabeth E. Hamm Tupper.
She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Divine Providence Hospital Auxiliary, the Association of Retarded Citizens of Lycoming County and was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School.

Surviving are three children, Michael J. (Linda) Balzer of Cogan Station, Kathryn L. (Keith) Shaner of Hughesville, Timothy G. Balzer of Hughesville,.Donna J. Balzer daughter-in -law of Cogan Station, 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, six sisters, Mary T. Kramer of Muncy, Norma J. Brenner of Scotts Valley, CA, Catherine R. (John) Hamm of Williamsport, Bernadette (Bill) Servey of Williamsport, Josette M. (Warren) Miller of Limestone Twp. and Margaret M. (Don) Wenner of Bastress Twp.

Her husband Bernard P. Balzer died November 1, 1975 and a son Dennis J. Balzer also preceded her in death.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday 11:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 800 Mulberry St., Montoursville with her pastor, Rev. John K. Manno officiating with burial to follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Montoursville, PA.
The family will receive family and friends at the church from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Friday.

The family will provide the flowers and respectfully suggests memorial contributions may be made to Hope Enterprises, Inc., P.O. Box 1837, Williamsport, PA 17703-1837 or Multiple Sclerosis Society, 2040 Linglestown Rd., Suite 104, Harrisburg, PA 17110. Crouse Funeral Home is handling funeral arrangements.
