Sadie E. Keebler, 96, of Alvira Court, Allenwood, passed away Thursday, August 4, 2011 at Kramm Health and Rehabilitation, Watsontown where she had resided the past ten months.

Born November 15, 1914 in Watsontown, she was the daughter of the late Follmer and Clara (Maxfield) Foust. She married Miles S. “Jack” Keebler on August 15, 1936 and they celebrated 74 years of marriage until his death this past July 30th.

Sadie was a graduate of Watsontown High School and had taken many courses from the Moody Bible Institute over the years. She had worked at Kramm’s Healthcare Center, Milton earlier in her life. She later retired from American Home Foods, Milton where she was employed 27 years, and was a member of their Silver and Gold Retirement Club.

She was a member of the Watsontown Alliance Church for 60 years and was a former church secretary.

She loved to can foods and crochet.

Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Ann Keebler of Aroyo Grande, Calif.; two daughters and a son-in-law: Mary Ann Troutman, Allenwood and Sandra and William Kottmyer of Elliottsburg; six grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death besides her husband were two sisters, Grace and MaryEmma Foust and a brother Russell Foust.
In keeping with her wishes, services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions in her memory be made to Evangelical Hospice, One Hospital Drive, Lewisburg PA 17837.
