Hester A. “Sis” Harsch

Hester A. “Sis” Harsch, 88, of Linden, died Monday, July 4, 2011 at The Gatehouse of Divine Providence Hospital.
Born October 25, 1922 in Williamsport, she was a daughter of the late Charles M. and Hester R. Blanksby Dugan. Sis was a 1942 graduate of Williamsport High School, and then worked at the Ordinance and Ray-O-Vac, before becoming a homemaker. She was an active member of the former Linden United Methodist Church and currently a member of Pine Run United Methodist Church. Sis enjoyed cooking, baking, and spending time with her family and friends.
Surviving are two children Jimmy E. Harsch of Linden and Ellen LeFever husband Ricky of Williamsport, three grandchildren Shawn Harsch of Linden, Jonah LeFever of Jersey Shore, and Micah Polk of Cogan Station, four great grandchildren Stuart, Jaid, and Piper Harsch, and Zeke LeFever.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Eugene C. “Jake” Harsch in 1984, a grandson Jude LeFever in 1994, and four siblings John, James, and Charles Dugan, and Martha Hennigan.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St. Williamsport, with her Pastor Scott Koser officiating. Burial will be held in Wildwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. Friday at Sanders Mortuary.
