Lockcuff, William F. 'Billy'
William F. “Billy” Lockcuff, 59, of 68 Whispering Pines Drive, Lock Haven, went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 25, 2011, surrounded by family and friends.
Born September 15, 1951, he was the son of Betty M. Davis Lockcuff and the late William L. Lockcuff . He was married to Darlene Sachette Hoffman Lockcuff on August 19, 2005.
Billy was a 1969 graduate of Williamsport Area High School, where he attended the vocational/technical program in automotive mechanics. He had worked at the former Avco-Lycoming as an inspector. He was also previously employed at the former ABC Business Equipment and the former Town and Country Department Store in both Williamsport and Selinsgrove in the shoe department.
Bill was a member of St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Jersey Shore. He was also a former member of Pine Run United Methodist Church and served as treasurer of the trustees. Billy was an avid hunter. The family cabin was his most favorite place to spend time and hunting season was his favorite time of the year. He created many memories for the “boys” at the cabin, and mentored his nephew, Justin, and step grandson, Dylan, in the skills of hunting. He enjoyed country music and Elvis. He also tutored elementary children at Jackson Elementary School and adults. Bill loved spending time with Bentley, the family dog.
Surviving are his wife, Darlene , of Lock Haven; his mother, Betty Lockcuff, Linden; daughter, Stacie Smith, Williamsport; two stepdaughters, Brenda Shields, and Tina (Dean) Edwards of Lock Haven; three grandchildren Alexander Lockcuff, Aden Smith, and Savana Smith; and two step-grandchildren, Dylan and Cody Shields; two sisters, Mona (Joe) Bertin, Linden, and Lisa (Don) Packer, Wadsworth, OH. He is also survived by his best friend, Christopher “Cookie” Wagner; five nieces and one nephew; and an aunt, Beverly Davis, and special family friend, Sue Lorson.
A Memorial Mass will be held Friday, April 29, 2011, at 11:30 am at St. Luke Catholic Church, 120 Kendall Ave, Jersey Shore, PA. Visitation will be on Friday from 10:30-11:15 am at the church.
