Allen J. Dunkelberger, 67, of S. Pine Run Road, Linden, passed away Friday, Jan. 28, 2011, at The Gatehouse of Divine Providence Hospital.
Born Oct. 12, 1943 in Williamsport, he was a son of Frank and Margaret Allen Dunkelberger.
He was a 1961 graduate of Williamsport High School and a 1965 graduate of Lycoming College. Allen was a generator technician at Hunter and Lomison, where he was employed for over 30 years. He loved hunting and fishing and was a member of Antes Creek Fishing Club. Allen was a member of Crossroads Community Church.
Surviving are his wife of 42 years Darleen E. (Alexander) Dunkelberger, two sons Bryan A. Dunkelberger and wife Marie, of Cohasset, Mass., and Matthew D. Dunkelberger of Jersey Shore, three grandchildren Gavin, Ian, and Ella Dunkelberger, a sister Alice Reading (Ray), of Muncy, mother-in-law M. Irene Alexander, brother-in-law Donald (Karen) Alexander, and sister-in-law Christine (Dennis) Fink all of Jersey Shore.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St., Williamsport.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Wayne P. Urbine Funeral Home, 408 S. Main St. Jersey Shore, with Pastor John H. Phillips Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Steam Valley Cemetery.
