Smith, Josephine S. (Rhine)
Josephine S. Smith, 85, formerly of Williamsport and Lock Haven, died Sunday, January 16, 2011 at ManorCare South, Williamsport.
Born April 12, 1925 in Arronsburg, PA, she was a daughter of William and Mary (Roup) Rhine. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Lyle Smith in 1978, a son Robert L. Smith in 1999, and an infant daughter Helen Smith in 1945, four siblings Ella Hill, Sara Hunsinger, Florence Klingerman, and William Rhine.
Surviving are two granddaughters Barbara Cruz and husband Danilo of Montoursville, and Mary Rung husband Bruce of Jersey Shore, two great grandchildren, and one great great grandson.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St. Williamsport, with Pastor Marie Lewis officiating. Burial will be held in Woodward Twp. Cemetery.
