Marie G. Allison, 89, formally of Park Avenue and Presbyterian Home died Thursday, September 23, 2010 at The Gatehouse of Divine Providence Hospital.

Born January 12, 1921 in Curwensville, Pa, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Mary A. Quigley McKeown.

Marie was the manager of the Fanny Farmer Candy Shop for many years and retired from Commonwealth Bank where she was employed as a teller.  

She was member of the Saint Joseph the Worker Parish, Annunciation Church. Marie enjoyed dancing and spending time with family and grandchildren.

Surviving are her children, Terry (Susan) Allison of Warminister, Karen Allison of Albany, NY, Virginia (Randy) Moser of Williamsport, Patrick (Beth) Allison of Williamsport, Three sisters Elizabeth Heindl of Williamsport, Louella Witherow of  Clearfield, and Rosemary Hryn of DuBois, seven grandchildren, Karen, Thomas, Brian, Shannon, Erin, Traci, and Kelley, and twelve great grandchildren            

She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Howard E. Allison and brothers and sisters James McKeown, Claire McKeown, Margaret Nyce, Helen Gehret.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph the Worker Parish, Annunciation Church with Father Shane Kirby, Celebrant, 702 West Fourth Street, Williamsport, Monday September 27, 2010 at 10 a.m.  Visitation will be held Monday from 8 to 9:30 a.m. at Sanders Mortuary, 821 Diamond St., Williamsport, Pa. Interment will be in Wildwood Cemetery.

The family will provide the flowers. Memorial contribution may be made to Presbyterian Home, 810 Louisa Street, Williamsport, Pa 17701 or to The Gatehouse of Divine Providence Hospital, 1100 Grampian Blvd., Williamsport, Pa 17701
