Obit: Stephen T. McFadden
Stephen T. McFadden, 63, of Williamsport passed away peacefully on Tuesday March 14, 2017 at the Gatehouse at Divine Providence Hospital surrounded by his family.
Stephen was born in Williamsport on November 17, 1953 the son of Bernard and Mildred Podolski McFadden.
He was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church here in Williamsport and was a welder for the former Litton Industries on Westminister Drive in Williamsport. Stephen was a member of the Gesang Verein Harmonia . A man of many interests, he was an avid Penn State fan, loved to garden and to putter around the house - always active, loving life.
He is survived by his wife of 39 yrs. the former Joan L. Fantaskey. They celebrated their 39th wedding anniversary on September 17, 2016. His son survives him, Brian McFadden of Jersey Shore as well as his mother Mildred McFadden of Williamsport. His brothers and sisters survive him; Bernard (Jan) of Williamsport Marilyn/Peach (Rick) Hamm of York, Theresa Kirby of Bethlehem, Regina Emerick of Williamsport, Michael (Linda) of S. Williamsport, Jeannine McFadden of this city and Matthew McFadden of Harrisburg. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and many faithful friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Joseph the Worker Parish, 702 West 4th Street, Williamsport at 10 am. on Monday March 20, 2017. Friends may call at the Crouse Funeral Home 133 East Third Street on Sunday evening from 6 to 8 pm. Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery.
