Obit: Jack F. Hauck
Jack Franklin Hauck, 88, a resident of Muncy, PA, formerly of Harrisburg, PA, passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2017 in the Muncy Valley Hospital SNU. Born in Milton, Northumberland County, PA, on Thursday, September 27, 1928, he was the son of the late Roy E. and Dorothy (Eschbach) Hauck.
He was the husband of Ruth A. (Sager) Hauck with whom he celebrated a 66th wedding anniversary on August 12, 2016.
Jack was a 1946 graduate of Milton High School and furthered his education by graduating from the Central Pennsylvania Business School at Harrisburg.
He honorably served during the Second World War with the U.S. Marines in the Panama Canal Zone.
He was a retired statistical business manager with the Sunoco Oil Co. at Harrisburg, PA. When Jack began his career it was known as the Kelly Oil Co.
Jack was an avid golfer and a member of the Colonial Park Golf Club.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one half-brother, Roy Hauck, Jr. of Watsontown, PA. Jack is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be conducted at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in the Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Harrisburg, PA.
