Obit: Bretlin Tanner Skiro


Bretlin Tanner Skiro, Age 2, left this world all too soon on Sunday, April 16, 2017.

Bretlin, also known as Tank, was a healthy, hearty and precious baby boy born on May 17, 2014.  He was the son of Brett T. Skiro (Felisha Evans-Koch), of Williamsport and Lindsey M. Bierly (Roger Plaisted), of Lock Haven.

He enjoyed driving his older siblings crazy, playing in the dirt, watching Blaze and the Monster Machines, and loved anything that had to do with Minions and Sponge Bob.  He had an appetite larger than life and knew what good food tasted like, even at the age of 2. He attended Daycare and School at Moms Inc. in Lock Haven and loved his teachers and friends. He was the most sincere, loving, caring little boy who would offer hugs and kisses to anyone and was great at snugging.

Surviving in addition to his parents are a sister, Jaiden Skiro, two brothers, Karter Skiro and Trent Bierly, three aunts, Shauna (David) Knapp, of Pittsburgh, Kelli Jo (Jeremy) Shaffer, of Watsontown, Leslie Tressler, of Lock Haven, an uncle,  Peter Skiro, of Montoursville,  several other aunts, uncles, and cousins,  special friends Tony, Dawna, and Shane Bierly, many other special friends, maternal grandparents, Barry and Tammy Tressler ,of Lock Haven, maternal great-grandparents, Sarah and Richard Heaverly, of Blanchard, Virginia Bonnell, of Avis, Earl and Dottie Tressler, of Beech Creek,  paternal grandparents, Peter (Karen) Skiro Jr., of Montoursvillle, Heather (Tom) Turner, of Montoursville, paternal great-grandfather, Dean Thomas, of Loyalsock. 

Bretlin was preceded in death by paternal great-grandmother, Sara Thomas.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, April 20 at Northway Presbyterian Church, 1520 Northway Rd., Williamsport. A viewing will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Northway Presbyterian Church.

Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family in Jersey Shore Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Skiro Family Care Fund, Attn: Leslie Tressler, 513 East Park Street Lock Haven, PA 17745.
