Morris man dies in mowing accident

According to Lycoming County Coroner, Charles Keissling, on Sunday, July 20, 2014, John E. Johnston, a 52 year old man from Oregon Hill Rd., Morris, PA was attempting to exit a tractor and brush hog he had been operating, when he apparently knocked the tractor into gear. 

He was thrown to the ground and run over by the brush hog.  The tractor traveled several hundred feet before it became entangled in wires shutting it down. 

EMS units from the Morris area responded along with Life Flight, however despite efforts by all responders Mr. Johnston died at the scene at 4:20 PM due to major chest trauma.
