Route 15 Fatal accident details

Pennsylvania State Police have released details about Thursday's fatal vehicle accident on Route 15 on Penny Hill, near Montgomery, Pa.

According to Trooper John Buynak, Willis A. Foley, of Camden, South Carolina, a white male, 70 years of age, was traveling South on Route 15 around 2: 40 pm when his vehicle became disabled. He pulled the vehicle off the west shoulder of the road. A tractor trailer, also traveling south, traveled over the west fog line and side swiped Foley's vehicle, struck Foley, traveled on to the west embankment and struck a traffic sign. Foley was out of his vehicle when he was struck, he died from the injuries at the scene. 

Lycoming County Coroner Charles Keissling pronounced Foley dead at the scene. Foley's next of kin has been notified.  The investigation is ongoing.

There had been a violent thunder / hail storm in the area just before the time of the accident. It is not known if weather was a factor.
