Montgomery man accused of rape

A 22-year-old Montgomery man was arrested by state police for rape and sexual assault on April 20.
According to police, Caleb Harper assaulted an 18-year-old woman on Gap Road in Washington Township. Harper is also being charged with indecent aggravated assault and furnishing alcohol to minors.
Harper was arraigned on a warrant and committed to Lycoming County prison in lieu of a $75,000 bail. A preliminary hearing on May 2 resulted in all charges being bound over for trial.
State police also reported the following incidents:
April 25 to May 10, Police reported that an unknown actor stole a firearm from a night stand drawer belonging to Kevin Little, 39, of Muncy Creek Township. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact PSP Montoursville at 570-368-5700.
May 2 to May 3, Police reported that an unknown actor stole mail from a mailbox belonging to Anthony Campana, 62. The mail included payroll checks. The suspect then attempted to cash the check at Jersey Shore State Bank. The incident is currently under investigation.
12 p.m. May 3, Police reported that Jason Kiser, 35, was doing community service at the fire station removing drying. Kiser then removed a Dewalt compact impact drill with the charger and two 12 volt batteries. Charges have been filed.
May 9 to May 11, Police reported that an unknown actor removed an unsecure green Craftsman canoe from 13159 Wallis Run Road, belonging to Kevin H. Adams, 42, of Muncy. Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact PSP Montoursville at 570-368-5700.
2:30 a.m. May 10, Police reported that a crash occurred as a vehicle driven by Zachary Parsons, 20, of Williamsport, was traveling south on Route 14 when the vehicle drove up an embankment along the southbound shoulder, causing it to overturn and come to rest on its drivers side. Parsons was uninjured.
1 p.m. May 13, Police reported that Jacqueline Brookens, 39, of Jersey Shore, attempted to steal several items from Kmart, 1915 E. Third St. She was observed putting items into her purse and admitted that she did take the items without paying for them. Charges have been filed.
1:25 p.m. May 13, Police reported that a crash occurred as a vehicle driven by Ashley Caverly, 22, of Cogan Station, was traveling west on Jacks Hollow Road while the road was wet when the vehicle failed to negotiate a right curve in the roadway. The vehicle spun counter clockwise and traveled off the roadway and into a ditch, rollingo nto its roof. Caverly sustained a minor injury.
7:20 p.m. May 15, Police reported that a suspect entered the Wines and Spirits store at 1903 E. Third St., and removed two pint bottles of Drambuie liquor. A second suspect returned one of the bottles to the store for a cash refund.
8:22 a.m. May 16, Police reported that a crash occurred as a vehicle driven by Dalyn Hornberger, 33, of Watsontown was traveling north in the right lane of Route 15 and a vehicle driven by Clifton Confer, 69, of Montgomery, was stopped at a stop sign on Pinchtown Road, attempting to turn onto Route 15. Clifton's vehicle pulled directly into the path of Hornberger's vehicle, causing impact.
9 a.m. May 16, Police reported that Joseph James, 60, of Williamsport, concealed an MP3 player and pair of scissors in a bag with intent to remove the items from Kmart, 1915 E. Third St., without paying. James was cited for retail theft through district court.
7:07 p.m. May 16, Police reported that a crash occurred as a vehicle driven by Shawn Shadle, 19, of Jersey Shore, was traveling east on Middle Road when the vehicle struck a stream of water in the roadway and traveled off the south shoulder of the roadway and struck an embankment. The vehicle continued to travel south east and struck a fence, two pieces of playground equipment and another fence. Shadle, Megan Fox, 21, of Jersey Shoe and two teenage passengers were taken to Williamsport and Jersey Shore Hospitals.
10:24 a.m. May 17, Police reported that a crash occurred as a vehicle driven by Alicia Keller, 30, of Linden, went through a red light at the intersection of Lycoming Creek Road and Log Run Road. A vehicle driven by John Nelson, 54, of Williamsport, went through the intersection when he had a green signal and struck Keller's vehicle.
3:29 p.m. May 18, Police reported that a crash occurred as a vehicle driven by Joyce Raesner, 56, of Waterville, was traveling on Route 44 North when Raesner lost control of the vehicle after striking 6 inches of standing water covering the north bound lane. The vehicle then struck an embankment and a utility pole. The vehicle then fell back to the roadway and rolled over two times, landing on its wheels. Raesner was not injured.
5:51 p.m. May 18, Police reported that Eric Brown-Thedford, 29, yelled profanities and made threatening gestures at Elite Games on E. Third Street after being told to leave the store. He was charged with disorderly conduct.
7:49 p.m. May 18, Police reported that Dylan O'Connor, 19, of Hughesville, concealed a MP pellet marker and removed a knife from packaging at Gander Mountain, 66 Mall Parkway, Muncy, with intent to deprive the store of the full retail value of the items. He was cited for retail theft.
