Juveniles arrested for killing donkey, smashing mailboxes
Three Montogomery teenagers were arrested after shooting and killing a donkey.
According to police, two 15-year-old males and one 16-year-old male used a .22 Cricket rifle to shoot a Jerusalem miniature donkey belonging to Amos Yoder of 75 Middle Road on April 16. The teens each shot the donkey six separate times over the course of an hour until it fell down and died.
During the same time, the teens spot-lighted and shot several deer and used a baseball bat to strike mailboxes around the Montgomery area.
Charges were filed on April 24 through the Lycoming County Office of Juvenile Probation.
Additional charges will be filed against the three by the Pensylvania Game Commission at a future date.
