April 6, 2014

This morning around 10:30 AM, Williamsport Police were invovled in a vehicle pursuit that traveled through the Park St., High St., West and East Third Sts., West Fourth St., Walnut St., areas ending with a fatality and a crash in Loyalsock on the Golden Strip.

According to the Pa. State Police report, a 28 year old, white female driver was signaled to stop for a traffic check but instead of stopping, led city police through a rambling 40 mph chase. As police came in contact with the suspect, they were able to determine that she was wanted for abscounding State parole. She reportedly ignored many stop signs and red lights in the city, then increased speed to 60 mph as she entered Loyalsock.

Traffic spike strips were used to partially disable the vehicle, affecting the vehicle's left front wheel. While driving, the suspect used a handgun and committed suicide. The vehicle then crashed into the Schneider Valley Farms building on East Third Street, across from Kmart.

Monday morning update: We've received word from Lycoming County Coroner Charles Kiessling. Sunday's Suicide victim was Jacqueline DelGuerico 28 years old from Anthony St., Williamsport., Pa
