Police investigate man's death

The Williamsport Bureau of Police is currently investigating the death of a male that occurred at 619 First Ave.

Police were summoned to the scene from a medical call for an unresponsive male. Medical personnel's attempts to revive the individual failed.

Members of the Williamsport Bureau of Police were called to assist in the death investigation. Police say there are no obvious signs of foul play, but are currently executing a search warrant at the property.

Police discovered that the building was not compliant with city codes and that residents of the building were in clear violation of city codes. According to codes personnel, the owner, Frank Steckel, was recently advised that the building was not codes compliant and that it was not fit for overnight habitation by other individuals.
