Police report various incidents
February 19, 2014
Pennsylvania State Police Department Montoursville reported the following incidents:
10:27 p.m. Jan. 24, Police reported that Tammy Jo Gephart, 43, of Muncy Valley, was charged with a DUI following a vehicle crash.
10:30 to 10:34 p.m. Jan. 25, Police reported that a customer left Harvest Moons Bowling Lanes in Jersey Shore and slammed the door to the building, breaking the door closure. Anyone with information about the whereabouts of the actor is asked to contact PSP Montoursville at 570-368-5700.
Jan. 26 to Jan. 29, Police reported that an unknown actor made several purchases using a debit card information belonging to Matthew Harris, 39, of Montoursville.
Jan. 26 to Feb. 5, Police reported that Maria Ickes of Trout Run had property listed for sale on Craigslist. She was contacted by a suspect who wanted to pay her 3 times the asking price. The suspect sent Ickes and check and told her to forward the additional money via MoneyGram to a man who was picking up the property. The check was not valid and the victim was able to cancel the MoneyGram before the suspect picked it up.
Jan. 30 to Feb. 8, Police reported that an unknown actor filed a tax return posing as Sean Ulmer, 36, of Montoursville.
2:53 a.m. Feb. 1, Police reported that William Sellinger, 22, of Linden, was stopped for traveling 70 mph in a posted 55 mph zone. Further investigation revealed Sellinger to be driving uner the influence. Charges have been filed.
Feb. 3 to Feb. 13, Police reported that an unknown actor stole $500 from a nightstand at Sycamore Manor belonging to Ruth Letteer, 86, of Williamsport.
10:30 p.m. Feb. 3, Police reported that Melissa Taylor of Duboistown was charged with DUI and resisting arrest following a traffic stop for speed violation in the Safety Corridor section of State Route 220.
11 a.m. Feb. 10, Police reported that a crash occurred as a vehicle driven by Amy Kriebel, 44, of South Williamsport, was stopped at a stop sign on Fairfield Road at the Lycoming Mall Drive intersection. A vehicle driven by Micheal Garis, 47, of Aaronsburg, was stopped at a stop sign at te entrance to Hanson plant. Garis's vehicle went straight across Lycoming Mall Drive to enter Fairfield Road and Kriebel's vehicle turned left into the driver's side of Garis's vehicle.
10:40 p.m. Feb. 13, Police reported that Stephanie Hamilton, 36, of Muncy, reported receiveing a threatening phone call from a 39-year-old male known to her.
2:15 to 5 p.m. Feb. 14, Police reported that a Samsung Galaxy S 4 was taken from a break room table in Holiday Hair on E. Third Street. Anyone with information about the actor's identity is asked to contact PSP Montoursville at 570-368-5700.
9:15 p.m. Feb. 14, Police reported that a boyfriend and girlfriend became involved in a verbal argument at 1411 E. Third St., during which the girl slapped and kicked her boyfriend. the boyfriend then threatened to kill the girlfriend and her father, and then grabbed a golf club. The boyfriend then left the residence with the golf club. Charges have been filed.
2:21 p.m. Feb. 15 Police reported that a husband got into a verbal altercation with his wife at their residence in Gamble Township. The wife picked up a knife and cut his hand and the husband retaliated by grabbing the knife and going to the ground grabbing for the knife. He then elbowed his wife in the face, striking her right eye, and he then took the knife and threw it in the garbage. The man struck his wife several times. Due to his injuries, the husband was transported to Williamsport ER where he was treated for the laceration. The wife had an injury to her right eye and was also treated at Williamsport ER. Both parties were arraigned before Judge Jon Kemp for Simple Assault and Harrassment. Bail was set at $25,000. Neither party could post bail and they were both were remanded to Lycoming County Prison. A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for Feb. 24.
9:30 to 11 a.m. Feb. 17, Police reported that an unknown person took $10 in cash from outside of the residence of a 32-year-old male. The money was supposed to be for a garbage pickup payment. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information regarding this incident should call PSP Montoursville at 570-368-5700.
6:05 p.m. Feb. 17, Police reported that a crash occurred as a vehicle driven by John Reynolds, 44, of Montoursville, was traveling north on Warrensville Road while a vehicle driven by Meghan Weber, 17, of Montoursville, was traveling west on Heim Hill Road approaching the intersection with Warrensville Road. Weber's vehicle failed to stop for a stop sign and crossed into Warrensville Road where the vehicles collided. Weber was cited for a violation of vehicle code Stop Signs and Yield Signs.
