Suspects arrested in armed robbery case
An anonymous tip led to the arrest of Marcus Walker of Williamsport and a 17-year-old male from Hughesville on Jan. 21 for the Jan. 17 armed robbery of Pizza Hut.
Initially, Walker was taken into custody outside his residence on a Lycoming County Probation detainer. Members of Pennsylvania State Police and Williamsport Bureau Police then entered the 2344 W. Fourth St. residence with the permission of Walker's wife. Once inside, items unique to the robbery were observed in plain view, leading to the issue of a search warrant.
The 17-year-old male arrived at the residence a short time later and was apprehended. He was found in possession of 11 bags of heroin at the time of arrest.
A search of the residence yielded the cothing worn in the robbery, three replica handguns used in the robbery, the stolen bank bags from the Pizza Hut along with Pizza Hut receipts from the night of the incident, the victim's cell phone that was stolen from him the night of the incident and other items related to the Pizza Hut robbery and other Lycoming County robberies and burglaries.
The 17-year-old male was charged as an adult and arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Carn. The suspect was later placed in the Lycoming County Prison on $350,000 bail. Walker will be officially charged Jan. 22.
It is anticipated that addition charges for other robberies/burglaries will be forthcoming for both Actors.
