Police report various incidents

Pennsylvania State Police Montoursville reported the following incidents:
11:50 Dec. 16, Police reported that an unknown person took items out of a purse belonging to Christian Bouse, 26, of South Williamsport, while she was working at Manor Care.
11:11 p.m. Dec. 27, Police reported that a 36-year-old male was operating a vehicle on Lycoming Creek Road in Lewis Township when he committed a summary moving violation and was arrested for suspected DUI. Pending BAC results will determine if the operator was over the legal limit at the time of the violation.
11 p.m. Dec. 27 to 7:40 a.m. Dec. 28, Police reported that unknown actors caused damage to a mailbox belonging to a 72-year-old man of 1661 Strawbridge Hill Road, Penn Township. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact PSP Montoursville at 570-368-5700.
10:30 a.m. Dec. 29, Police reported that a crash occurred as a vehicle driven by Susan Tencza, 42, of Nanticoke, was traveling north on State Route 87. During that time, Tencza lost control of the vehicle and traveled off the roadway. The vehicle continued to travel through the wooded area along the south bound lane until it struck a tree. No one inside the vehicle sustained injuries, but the vehicle was undriveable.
1:30 p.m. Dec. 31, Police reported that a crash occurred as a vehicle driven by Shawn McDermit, 23, of Salladasburg, was traveling east on State Route 973 West. McDermit lost control of the vehicle and travele off the right shoulder of the roadway. The vehicle impacted four fence posts and traveled down an embankment. McDermit then fled the scene without notifying the property owner. McDermit will be cited for hit and run and other traffic offenses.
5 a.m. Jan. 1, Police reported that unknown actors used force on a door at the American Legion in Montgomery and entered into the walk-in cooler. The actors then fled the scene without taking anything. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact PSP Montoursville at 570-368-5700.
3:21 p.m. Jan. 1, Police reported that a crash occurred as a vehicle driven by Jason Riker, 37, of Auburn, NY, was traveling north on State Route 15 in the right lane. The vehicle began to rotate counter clockwise and traveled across te left lane and into the median, causing the front left of the vehicle to strike a guard rail. Riker was uninjured and is to be cited for driving vehicle at a safe speed.
4:04 p.m. Jan 1, Police reported that a crash occurred as a vehicle driven by Evan Luffred, 20, of Mount Airy, MD, was traveling south on State Route 15. As the vehicle was negotiating a right turn in the roadway, it began to rotate clockwise. At that thime, Luffred over corrected and the vehicle began to rotate counter clockwise. The vehicle crossed the median and struck an embankmet on the east side of the north bound lanes. Luffred was uninjured. The vehicle was towed from the scene and Luffred was cited for traffic violations of driving a vehicle at a safe speed.
6:45 p.m. Jan. 1, Police reported that a crash occurred when a vehicle driven by Pamela Cook, 33, of Cato, NY, was traveling north on State Route 15. A deer entered the roadway from the west and Cook's vehicle struck the deer. No one was injured.
10 a.m. Dec. 2, Police reported that a 31-year-old female and a 21-year-old male, both of Wiliamsport, became involved in a verbal argument while staying at the Econo Lodge. During the argument, the male grabbed the female by her legs and drug her off the bed. Charges have been filed.
