State Police report various incidents
October 31, 2013
The Pennsylvania State Police Montoursville reported the following incidents:
Aug. 29 to Oct. 19, Police reported that within the previously mentioned time frame, an unknown actor removed a 12 volt battery from a camper belonging to Scott Winters, 47, of Montoursville while it was parked at Creekside Manor Campsite 831 in Plunketts Creek Township. Anyone with information is asked to contact PSP Montoursville at 570-368-5700.
Oct. 7 at 11:45 a.m., Police reported that a white male took Dawn Kuntz, 80, of Williamsport, to Susquehanna Bak in Loyalsock Township and forced her to withdraw cash from her bank account. The suspect told bank personnel that he was the victim's grandson. The suspect is thought to be driving a blue colored, early 90s model GM SUV or van. The investigation is ongoing. Oct. 13 at 1:12 a.m., Police reported that Vera Baysore, 25, of Williamsport, allegedly stole four packs of Durex Condoms, a pack of Pepto Bismol, a scented necklace, a first aid kid, three tubes of chap stick and an Amp universal charger from Sheetz in Loyalsock Township.
Oct. 13 to Oct. 15, Police reported that unknown actors entered a barn in Fairfield township behind the residence of Christina Baier, 49, of Montoursville. Nothing appeared to be stolen; solar lights on the victim's property were damaged. The investigation is ongoing at this time. Oct. 18, 3:15 p.m., Police reported that a crash occurred when a school bus driven by Violetta Bischof, 62, of Trout Run was traveling northbound on Fredna Ave. Another vehicle driven by Ammie Solley, 44, of Montoursville was also traveling northbound on Fredna Ave. The initial impact occured when Solley's vehicle was making a left turn and the bus's right front corner area struck the rear left corner area of Solley's vehicle. Solley's vehicle then rotated counter-clockwise, causing its left side to strike the front bumper of the school bus. The school bus came to a position of final rest on the west side of Fredna Ave. facing northwest. Solley's vehicle came to a position of final rest facing southwest on Fredna Ave. No injuries were reported.
Oct. 20, 1:38 p.m., Police reported that two juvenile females left the Shelter Care Facility in Loyalsock Township. When police arrived, the accused female juvenile attempted to run from police and physical force was used to retain her. The accused then started yelling and screaming in a public place.
Oct. 24, 12:35 a.m., Police reported that a crash occurred when a vehicle driven by Brandon Prosock, 20, of Muncy was traveling west bound on State Route 147 when he had impact with a white tail deer. The vehicle came to a the position of final rest in the west bound travel lane with the deer under it. Prosock was uninjured.
Oct. 25, 8:30 p.m., Police reported that two female juveniles engaged in a physical altercation at the basketball courts area at Randall Circle, Loyalsock Township. Both actors sustained minor injuries. Summarry harassment charges have been filed through District Court 29-3-02.
Oct. 26, 4:27 p.m., Police reported that a crash occurred on State Route 220 when a vehicle was heading in a westerly direction and struck the concrete between the north and south bound lanes while negotiating a left hand curve. After striking the barrier the vehicle continued west on State Route 220 for approximately half a mile. The vehicle came to final rest off the right hand side of the roadway. The driver then fled the scene.
Oct. 27, 12:45 a.m., Police reported that Rodney A. Reinhart, 24, of Williamsport was stopped for walking/staggering along State Route 220 in Wolf Township, while highly intoxicated.
Oct. 27, 2:36 a.m., Police reported that a white female, 32, allegedly committed a summary moving violation and was arrested for suspected DUI on State Route 118 in Jordan Township. Pending BAC results will determine if the accused was over the legal limit at the time of the violation.
Oct. 27 at 10:05 p.m., Police reported a female juvenile spit on Louise Pepper, 51, of Muncy several times during a disturbance in Muncy Township. Police filed summary harassment and disorderly conduct charges through District Court 29-3-03.
Oct. 28, 6:00 a.m., Police reported that a crash occurred as a vehicle driven by Paul Thomas, 55, of Williamsport and another vehicle were traveling south on State Route 15 Market Street Bridge. Thomas's vehicle slowed and for traffic when the second vehicle struck the rear of his car. The second vehicle continued south and turned west on West Lincoln Ave. and fled in an unknown direction. Thomas's vehicle came to final rest at the intersection of State Route 15 and State Route 654. Thomas's vehicle had minor damage to the rear of the vehicle. Thomas was uninjured.
Oct. 28 to Oct. 29, 7:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., Police reported that an unknown actor took a PA registration plate from a vehicle parked in Muncy Creek.
Oct. 29 at 7:20 a.m., Police reported a crash occurred as a vehicle driven by Debra Henry, 47, of Catawissa was traveling northbound on State Route 87 when a deer ran into her path. The vehicle struck the deer head on and came to a position of final rst on the east shoulder on the roadway. Henry was uninjured.
Oct. 29 at 13:40 p.m., Police reported that Justin Simon of Williamsport was cited with retail theft after he allegedly removed two bottles of cologne from K-Mart in Loyalsock Township without paying.
