Police report various incidents

The Pennsylvania State Police Department Montoursville reported the following incidents:

Oct. 1 to Oct. 2, 6:30 p.m. to 7:20 a.m., Police reported that an unknown actor removed a green Honda TRX 500 from 9964 State Route 14 in McIntyre Township and fled the scene toward State Route 14 with the green ATV. Anyone with infomation is asked to contact police at (570) 368-5700. 

Oct. 1 to Oct. 20, An unknown actor removed a Moultrie Game Spy i45 trail camera from a property in Mifflin Township. Anyone with information pertaining to this matter is asked to contact police. 

Oct. 3 at 8:32 p.m., Police reported that a traffic stop was conducted for summary traffic violations on I-180 E  in Loyalsock Township. During the traffic stop, Preston Shipman, 25, of Montoursville, conducted field sobriety tests which indicated he was under the influence of alcohol. Shipman was transported to Williamsport Hospital for a legal blood draw. 

Oct. 3 at 10 p.m., Police reported that Kenneth Fernsler was involved in a crash on Route 15 North in Lewis Township. Fernsler was transported to the Williamsport Hospital for a legal blood draw. Charges were filed upon receipt of the official BAC results. 

Oct. 5 at 3:25 p.m., Police reported that a male from Montoursville violated conditions of a PFA order put in effect by the Lycoming County Court on Muncy Exchange Road in Muncy Creek Township. The male was arraigned and remanded to Lycoming County Prison in lieu of a $5,000 bail. 

Oct. 6, 4 a.m. to 7 a.m., Police reported that an incident occurred in Wolf Township when Tiffany Liebersohn, 37, of Hughesville, became agitated and began striking a white male about the head and neck. The victim sustained scratches on his neck, a lump on his head from being struck by a wooden lamp, and lump on his forearms from being struck by a chair. 

Oct. 9 at 12:16 p.m., Police reported that a crash occurred when a vehicle driven by Kimberly Lipinski, 58, of Muncy, was traveling west bound on I-180 in the right hand lane. As the vehicle approached the Faxon ramp for I-180 west bound, another vehicle driven by Michaelangelo Vidal, 23, of Williamsport, was traveling down the on ramp along side of her. Vidal's vehicle's driver side mirror then impacted the passenger side of Lipinski's vehicle. 

Oct. 13, Police reported that an unknown actor took 5 sets of keys to various landscaping equipment from a property on State Route 14 in Lewis Township. There were no witnesses to this incident. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact police. 

Oct. 14, 12:30 a.m. to 6:30 a.m., Police reported that Devon Bowmaster of Lock Haven, Paul Sample of McElhatten, and a 17-year-old juvenile were charged with theft and related offenses as they stole a car from a residence in Limestone Township after they fled a crash scene where Bowmaster had crashed a truck at the intersection of State Route 880 and Middle Road. 

The crash occurred at 1:45 a.m. as the vehicle, driven by Bowmaster, was attempting to negotiate a sharp left hand curve and traveled off the roadway, striking a P-Stone  advertising sign, a utility pole and then a large rock. The vehicle came to final rest on the eastern edge of the roadway.  Bowmaster was cited through D.C. 29-3-01 for driving without a license and several crash related violations. 

Oct. 20, 3:00 p.m., Police reported that an incident occurred as a white female lost a checkbook in the Kmart Parking Lot, Loyalsock Township. The checkbook contained approximately 8 checks with the female's name, address and phone number on each check. Anyone with information is asked to contact PSP Montoursville at (570) 368-5700. 

Oct. 21 at 6:26 a.m., Police reported a crash occurred as a vehicle driven by Shawn Stoner, 42, of Williamsport, was attempting to back up on State Route 118, Moreland Township, Lycoming County. The vehicle struck the guardrails along the northern edge of the roadway. The vehicle traveled through the guardrails and down and embankment. The vehicle came to final rest on its left side, facing east. The driver was using a seatbelt and was uninjured. 

Oct. 21 at 12:55 p.m., Police reported a crash occurred as a Suzuki GSXR driven by Jordan Woltz, 30, of Montgomery, was traveling west on Elimsport Road in Brady Township. The vehicle failed to negotiate a left curve and traveled off the roadway. The vehicle struck a rock and skidded on its side until coming to rest in a small field north of the roadway. Woltz was cited with PAVC 3309 Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic. 

Oct. 22 at 6:09 a.m., Police reported a crash occured as a vehicle drive by Larry Geraty, 56, of Beech Creek, was travelling north bound on State Route 287 in Mifflin Township. The vehicle encountered a deer running from the west shoulder into the lane of travel and impacted it with its front end. The vehicle pulled off onto the east shoulder where it came to postion of final rest with the deer lying in the east shoulder approximately 6 feet behind it. 

Oct. 22 at 11:19 a.m., Police reported that a crash occurred as a vehicle driven by John Cole, 69, of Jersey Shore, was traveling south and a vehicle driven by Lawrence Lose, 49, of Jersey Shore, was traveling north on PA-44. The first vehicle crossed over the center line of the roadway while negotiating a right hand curve. The first vehicle struck the left front corner of the second vehicle with its left front corner. The first vehicle spun coutner clockwise approximately 90 degrees and came to final rest blocking the southbound travel lane against the guardrail. The second vehicle traveled on the eastern shoulder of the roadway and impacted an embankment causing  unit 2 to roll onto its left side. No injuries were reported. 

Oct. 22 at 7:04 p.m., Police reported that a crash occured as two vehicles were traveling east on I-180 in the area of Cemetery St. in Fairfield Township when vehicle 1 struck the rear bumper of vehicle 2. Vehicle 1 had moderate front end damage. Vehicle 2 had minor rear bumper and muffler damage. 

Oct. 22 at 8:34 p.m., Police reported that a crash occurred as a vehicle driven by Stephanie Hillis, 40, of Hughesville, was travelling north on State Route 220. The vehicle was going around a curve and struck a bear in the roadway. 

Oct. 23, 12:15 to 3:30 p.m., Police reported that unknown actors focibly entered the rear door of a residence belonging to Doris Jordan, 69, of Muncy and removed a large amount of jewelry before fleeing in an unknown direction. Anyone with information pertaining to the burglary is encouraged to contact the police at (570) 368-5700. 

Oct. 23 at 2:54 p.m., Police reported that a one-vehicle crash occurred when Robert Carey, 66, of Williamsport, parked his vehicle in front of The Williamsport Home on a slight incline and exited the vehicle without putting the vehicle in gear or setting the emergency brake at which time the vehicle being traveling from the parked position south on Ravine Road. The vehicle made initial impact with a guide rail and traveled along the guide rail until the vehicle made impact with a utility pole and came to a stop. Carey was cited for a violation of the PAVC, Section 3701-Unattended Motor Vehicle. 

Oct. 25 at 8:31 p.m., Police reported that a crash occurred as a vehicle driven by Richard Reeser, 55, of Middleburg, was traveling south on State Route 15 in the 1600 block. The vehicle drifted to the left and straddled the center line between the north and south bound lanes. The vehicle then struck the guardrail at the end of the concrete barrier. The vehicle came to rest in the closed lane on State Route 15 south.
