Numerous Thefts Reported in Lycoming County

Numerous Thefts Reported in Lycoming County - Montoursville State Police investigated the following incidents:
- Aug. 30, between 4-4:30 p.m., a 64-year-old Williamsport black woman was waiting at the bus stop on Clayton Ave./E. 3rd St. when a young black male approached her and asked if she had a lighter. Trooper Ryan Golla said the when the female reached for her purse the male grabbed it and ran north on Clayton Avenue. Anyone who may have witnessed the incident should contact 570.368.5700.
- Over the a 5-month span of time, a known suspect purchased gift cards and cigarettes with credit cards belonging to Shaheen Auto Sales, 5399 Route 15, Clinton Township. Trooper Sean Cooney said between Feb. 26 and July 15, the suspect would go to sunoco to refuel vehicles belonging to the business, then would go inside the store and make purchases with the company cards, Cooney said.
- Between Aug. 21 and Sept. 3, someone stole tools from the work bench belonging to Keith Lunger, 68, 825 Route 118 in Wolf Township, Hughesville.
- Aug. 18, 10:10 a.m., Sean Beam, 31, of 3570 Dewey Ave. Ext., Cogan Station, allegedly stole an Apple I-phone from Catherine Thomas while both were at Dunlap Riverlot No. 1 in Woodward Township. Trooper Ryan Golla said the device was located at Montour Wireless; Beam was observed on surveillance selling the stolen property to Montour Wireless, Golla said.
