Passenger Leads Police on Foot Pursuit in Loyalsock Township - A 26-year-old man was charged by Montoursville State Police with multiple crimes following an incident last week in Loyalsock Township. Trooper Daniel Kozak said around 10:10 p.m. on April 12, a traffic stop was conducted on Northway Road at Lincoln Drive. When police attempted to identify Lamont Cradle, a passenger inside the vehicle, he provided a false name; when police took Cradle into custody to determine his real identity, radle fled the scene by foot. When he was subsequently taken into custody it was learned he was wanted by state parole. Felony and misdemeanor charges were filed against Cradle, Kozak said.

State police also reported the following incidents:

  • On April 13,  a.m., a vehicle operated by Cassandra M. Weymouth, 21, of Jersey Shore, was traveling northbound on Route 44. As the vehicle approached the intersection of Route 44 and 414, Weymouth drove off the east side, making initial impact with a tree and striking a traffic sign. Weymouth was arrested for suspicion of DUI and was not injured in the crash. With Weymouth were four passengers: Collin A. Beaver, 19, of Jersey Shore, Desiree B. Courter, 18, of Castanea, Brandon J. Grand, 23, of Lock Haven, and Hannah N. Royer, 18, of Mill Hall. Courter and Royer sustained moderate injuries. Three of the passengers were found to allegedly be under the influence of alcohol; underage drinking charges were filed.
  • In Clinton County, an unknown white female attempted to purchase fuel with a counterfeit $10 bill while at Fuel On, in Castanea Township.
  • On Feb. 11, a Pennsylvania Instant Check System Unit contacted PSP Lamar and advised that Johnathan Matthew Davis was at Miller's Gun Shop, Lamar Township, attempted to purchase gun. A wanted/warrant notice was sent from Huntington County during the PICS query. While at Miller's Gun Shop, Trooper Matthew Maggs served the warrant on Daivs; during a pat down search, a small bag of marijuana and a smoking device was discovered in Davis's coat pocket. Alleged rug possession charges were filed.
