March 7, 2013
The First Community Foundation Partnership of Pennsylvania (FCFP) is pleased to announce Albright Care Services has established a fund with an initial gift of $25,374. The organizational endowment fund will be a permanent funding source in which a portion of the fund’s investment income is granted back to Albright in support of annual financial needs while protecting the Fund’s principal for future charitable interests.
Jennifer D. Wilson, FCFP President & CEO said, “The Foundation is proud to partner with Albright Care Services to create a permanent funding source for the future. The creation of this fund demonstrates the financial integrity of their organization and the Foundation is honored to serve as stewards of their endowment.”
Albright Care Services is a not-for-profit, faith based service organization providing housing, health care, and at-home services to older adults in central Pennsylvania dating back to 1916. Today the various services include: RiverWoods Senior Living Community in Lewisburg, Normandie Ridge Senior Living Community in York, Warrior Run Manor (a 75 unit HUD apartment complex) and Albright LIFE (Living Independently for Elders) centers in Lancaster, Lebanon and Lycoming counties. In addition, Albright Care Services owns and operates the Slifer House Museum on the campus of RiverWoods. Albright Care Services is affiliated with the Central Pennsylvania Conference of The United Methodist Church through history and faith.
“Albright Care Services and FCFP have been meeting community needs independently for decades. This partnership builds on both our strengths encouraging us to work together to sustain healthy and productive communities,” said Shaun Smith, President and CEO, Albright Care Services.
The First Community Foundation Partnership of Pennsylvania works regionally and locally to bring together people, partners and places to grow local giving and investment, strengthen area organizations and results, and take on the critical issues and efforts needed to build vibrant communities and a thriving north central Pennsylvania region. FCFP serves the communities of Lycoming, Montour, and Union Counties.
