Williamsport Drivers Sustain Injuries in Washington Boulevard Collision - PSP Montoursville continue to investigate a crash that closed down a portion of Washington Boulevard Monday morning. Investigator Daniel Switzer said around 9:50 a.m. Jan. 14, Eleanor DeSaulniers, 88, was traveling westbound on Washington Boulevard at the same time Clyde Buchta, 85, was traveling eastbound. DeSaulniers attempted to turn left onto Shiffler Avenue in order to continue in a southbound direction and traveled into the path of Buchta, Switzer said. Both drivers sustained injuries, Buchta was not wearing a seatbelt.
Driver Allegedly Provides False Information to Police; Fleese Scene on Foot - A Williamsport man fled the scene of a route traffic stop on Interstate 180 and now faces charges of allegedly providing a false identity to a law enforcement officer. Trooper Christine Fye proceeded to conduct a traffic stop on that highway in the area of the Market Street Bridge in Williamsport around 9:44 a.m. on Dec. 28, 2012, due to an expired inspection/emissions stickers. The operator of the stopped vehicle, Jason Shane Pryor, 37, of Williamsport allegedly provided Fye with a false name and date of birth at the time of stop. While Fry was running the information through her computer, Pryor exited his vehicle and crossed both lanes of oncoming traffic, proceeded over two concrete barriers and into Williamsport on foot. The identity of Pryor was later discovered, Fye said.
Burglary Reported in Wolf Township - An Elm Drive residence in Hughesville was burglarized earlier this month, state police report. On Jan 1, between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m., someone entered the Wolf Township home of Dennis Hull, Jennifer Christian, Jordan Hull and a male juvenile and stole items belonging to all four victims.
