State Police Continue to Investigate Rash of Thefts in Williamsport - State Police in Montoursville are seeking additional information in a series of thefts from motor vehicles which occurred over the weekend in Williamsport. Areas of Clayton Avenue, Sheridan Street and Blair Street were hit by thefts in which nine vehicles were entered and several items were removed from inside. Trooper Travis Pena said the thefts occured around 3:45 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 29 in Loyalsock Township.
Loyalsock Township Man Jailed Following Incident - A 37-year-old man was arraigned and placed in Lycoming County Prison following an incident of simple assault he committed last month in Loyalsock Township. Trooper James Doane said the man and a 37-year-old female were involved in a domestic dispute around 2 p.m. on Sept. 16 when the argument escalated into simple assault after the husband threw two cans of spray paint at the victim, resulting in injury. The husband was taken into custody, arraigned before Honorable James Sortman and placed in prison in lieu of $7,000.
