Environmental Cleanup at Route 147 Crash Site Wednesday

Motorists traveling Route 147 south of Montandon in Northumberland County are asked to be alert to environmental cleanup activities scheduled for this Wednesday, June 20.
North Ridge (cleanup contractor) will be working at the site of a recent truck crash near the bridge over Chillisquaque Creek, about a quarter-mile north of the intersection with Route 405 in West Chillisquaque Township.
Work activities (contaminated soil removal) will be under way from 8 a.m. to around 5 p.m. Wednesday. Throughout the day flaggers will be directing short traffic stoppages to allow access for cleanup traffic.
The cleanup activities are expected to be completed in one day.
