Several Injured in Schoolbus Accident on Elimsport Road - PSP Montoursville report nine of 24 students on a Montgomery School District schoolbus and a driver in a second vehicle sustained injuries following an accident this morning in Clinton Township. Trooper Gary Beadle said Robert Kibler, 68, of Williamsport, sustained major injury in the crash in the area of 121 Elimsport Road, just west of the Route 15 intersection around 8:15 a.m. Kibler was stopped facing an eastbound direction for another stopped schoolbus located in front of its position. A second schoolbus operated by Ann Bieber, 45, of Montgomery, was traveling eastbound on the same roadway and was located behind Kibler. As Bieber approached Kibler, Bieber failed to bring the schoolbus to a complete stop. At that time, the front of the schoolbus struck the rear of Kibler's truck; Kibler's vehicle crossed into the westbound lane and continued in an eastbound direction where it then struck a speed limit sign multiple mailboxes and finally came to rest when it struck a utility pole. Kibler and the students were transported to Williamsprot and Muncy Valley hospitals for further medical observation.

Firearms Stolen From Vehicle in Loyalsock Township – PSP Montoursville continue their investigations of a report in which multiple items were removed from a vehicle as it was parked on Blair Street over the weekend. Trooper Erik Barlett said between 7 p.m. May 11 and 8 a.m. May 12, someone stole two pistols and an over-under shotgun, a watch, an Emerson folding knife and a black leather holster from a vehicle belonging to Cameron L. Simon. Simon, 29, of Montoursville had parked at 2740 Blair Street at the time of the theft, Barlett said. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact 570.368.5700.

Two Injured in Motorcycle Accident on Route 864 – A driver and his passenger sustained moderate to minor injuries which required medical treatment following a crash in Upper Fairfield Township. Trooper Brian Evarts said Andrew M. Peters, 33 of Williamsport, and passenger Danielle Chamberlin, 27, of Muncy, were traveling west on Route 864 just west of Miller Road on May 12 around 9:40 p.m. Peters was negotiating a left hand curve when the Harley –Davidson traveled off the roadway onto the shoulder. Peters lost control of the motorcycle when it came in contact with gravel; the bike slid sideways until it struck the guardrail, then continued to slide on the gravel, re-entering the roadway before it fell on its right side. The motorcycle then slid west on Route 864 approximately 60 feet, coming to final rest, Evarts said. Both were thrown from the bike; Chamberlin, as the bike struck the guard rail, Peters, as the bike came to final rest. Neither were wearing helmets in the accident, and were transported to Williamsport Hospital for treatment. Peters will be cited in the accident, Evarts said.
