Pedestrian Struck and Killed in Williamsport - The Williamsport Bureau of Police are investigating evidence, including video footage, of a city man who was struck and killed late last night on High Street.
Captain MIchael Orwig said on May 2, around 11:20 p.m., a 46-year-old man was crossing the street near the intersection of 6th Avenue when he was hit by a dark vehicle that was traveling westbound on High Street. The vehicle continued traveling west on High Street, Orwig said.
In addtion, shortly after the initial accident, a light-colored small sedan may have possibly struck the pedestrian as well. Police at the scene collecting evidence. Large amounts of glass were left from the offending vehicle to indicate the vehicle may have sustained a broken or damaged windshield or side windows.
