PennDOT Working to Reopen Elimsport Road/Turnback Road Intersection

Montoursville - A PennDOT maintenance crew in Lycoming County is working on a project to reopen the intersection of Turnback Road with Route 2001 (Elimsport Road) in Brady Township this week. PennDOT raised the elevation of the state route at the bridge there in order to get the state route above floodwater levels. That allowed PennDOT to reopen Elimsport Road without having to wait for the water table to drop in the area known as The Sinks. However, the intersection with Turnback Road remained flooded and closed. The maintenance work taking place tomorrow and Friday should allow PennDOT to reopen the intersection with the township road. That should be open by the weekend.
