Trucker Collides with State Police Vehicle – A Pennsylvania State Police officer was not injured after a trucker backed into his patrol vehicle following a traffic stop in Green Township. Trooper Dennis Haines stopped Eugeniusz Krapa, 66, of Pocono Lake after he failed to enter the westbound weight station at mile post 194 on I-80 shortly before 12:30 a.m. on Jan. 30. After Krapa was stopped along the berm of I-80 at exit 192’s exit ramp, Krapa backed into the patrol vehicle that was parked behind the tractor trailer. Haines had exited the vehicle and was walking along the left side of Krapa’s truck as the trailer struck the front of the marked patrol vehicle.

Car Strikes House in Loyalsock Township – The operator of a vehicle was not injured after she crashed into a house earlier this week on Log Run Road. Trooper Matthew McDermott said Dora K. Beers, 28, of Williamsport, was traveling east on Log Run Rod shortly before 4 p.m. on Feb. 14 when she lost control of the Pontiac G6 she was driving. Beers crossed both lanes and left the roadway, striking a house before coming to final rest, McDermott said; no one in the residence was injured.

Montoursville Residents Cited in Alleged Assault, Harassment Incident – PSP Montoursville filed charges against three Loyalsock Township residents following a domestic disturbance on Feb. 11 around 10:15 p.m. Trooper Paul McGee said the disturbance took place at 2219 Four Mile Drive and led to the arrest of Allen Hamilton, 26, for simple assault; and harassment charges against Taylon Hamilton, 18, and Charles Hamilton, 60. Allen Hamilton was arraigned before District Judge Sortman for domestic assault and committed to the Lycoming County prison on $7500. Harassment citations were filed against Taylon and Charles Hamilton through District Judge Schriner.
