Over $1,000 Stolen from Hughesville Man’s Bank Account
Over $1,000 Stolen from Hughesville Man’s Bank Account – PSP Montoursville continue to investigate an incident of identity theft which occurred over a two-week span of time. Between Jan. 13 and Jan. 26, an unknown individual obtained account information of John E. Fischer, 56, of 220 Roaring Run Road, Shrewsbury Township. Fischer’s Chase Visa credit card and a Cabela’s Visa credit card were used to make several in-store purchases, Trooper Brandon Schrawder said. Using account information, the individual made two purchases at Sears Roebuck in El Centro, California in the amount of $641.47 while the Cabela’s card account was used to make online purchases in the amount of $450.
Out-of-State Residents Involved in Verbal Altercation – PSP Montoursville responded to a McIntyre Township residence following a verbal altercation which escalated to physical injuries. Trooper Christine Fye said Christopher Michael Novosad, 19, of Texas, Richard Lee Wallace, 30, of Kentucky, and a 32-year-old Kentucky man got into a verbal altercation while at 1386 Red Burn Road on Friday, Jan. 27 between 9:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. The altercation became physical in nature; minor injuries were sustained to two of the individuals, Fye said. No charges were pressed at the request of Novosad and Wallace.
South Williamsport Woman Cited for Harassment – PSP Montoursville cited a South Williamsport female with harassment and escorted her from her place of employment earlier this month. Trooper James Doane said around 10 a.m. on Jan. 19, Kimberly Santos, 44, was being escorted from the Meadows Facility in Loyalsock Township and made several threats to harm her supervisor.
