Lottery Scam in Loyalsock Township, State Police Report – A woman was scammed out of money after she thought she had won a lottery. PSP Montoursville said around noon on Dec. 9, Debra Fedroff, 56, of 192 Keller Loop, Williamsport sent an amount of money to individuals because she was told she won a lottery. Trooper Daniel L. Young said investigations are continuing.

Montoursville State Police also responded to the following crimes:
BURGLARY – During the overnight hours on Jan. 7, someone broke a window and the glass on the front door of the residence of Charles Robert Nicholson, 52, of 165 Woodward St., Williamsport. The culprit then proceeded to the rear of the house, where they broke through a screen, broke the glass out of the rear window and then entered the residence, Trooper Jared King said. Once inside, the burglar proceeded to take an HP laptop computer, a Sony 32-inch flat screen tv, and an air card, then proceeded to the garage, where approximately $150 worth of copper pipe, two full size batteries and three small batteries were removed. THEFT – Three juveniles consisting of one male and two females entered the Dollar General store on Route 405, Muncy Creek Township and removed one pregnancy test and attempted to remove a second test without paying for either item. Trooper Erik Barlett said the juveniles entered the store around 4:10 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 12 and immediately fled the scene. Anyone with information is asked to contact 570.368.5700.

LOST – On Jan. 14, around 1:37 p.m., William Yeagle, 41, of Montgomery, lost a Remington 370 pump action 20 gauge shotgun on state game land property. Trooper Sean Cooney said Yeagle lost the rifle in the area of Pikes Peak Road and Alvira Road, Washington Township. The shotgun is black with a brown pump and stock, Cooney said.
