Burglary in Loyalsock Township While Man Showers – PSP Montoursville responded to 1207 Wheatfield Drive, Loyalsock Township on Sunday, Jan. 8. Trooper Brandon Schrawder said Craig R. Fought, 20, had returned home to shower after dropping a friend off in Loyalsock Township around 10 p.m. After showering, Fought noticed his dog was standing at the top of the stairs, looking down and growling. Soon after, Fought heard a cough noise come from downstairs, and immediately locked himself in his bedroom and contacted 911. While on the phone with 911 dispatch, Fought viewed an individual dressed in dark clothing exit the garage area and run up the embankment located behind the house, Schrawder said. A canvass of the area was conducted but no results.
Facebook Messages Potentially PFA Violation in Loyalsock Township – PSP Montoursville continue to investigate an incident in which a protection from abuse order potentially was violated using social media. Over a two-day period, a 27-year-old South Williamsport man allegedly sent Facebook messages potentially in violation of the order to a 24-year-old Williamsport woman at 1659 Randall Circle. Trooper Troy Hendershot said the messages allegedly occurred from Dec. 24 to Dec. 26.
Loyalsock Township Bank Bilked Out of $2,000 – PSP Montoursville continue to investigate an incident of theft by deception which occurred at 10 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 9, 2011. Trooper Brandon Schrawder said a 32-year-old Hughesville female deposited a fraudulent check in the amount of $2,000 into her checking account at Northwest Savings Bank at 815 Westminster Drive in Loyalsock Township. The suspect’s account was credited for the amount after an initial 24-hour hold, Schrawder said. By the time Northwest Savings was notified the check was fake, the woman had already spent a majority of the cash.
