Crash in Lewis Township Cause of Secondary Accident – PSP Montoursville report no injuries were sustained in an accident on Route 15 involving a tractor trailer nor in a second accident that followed in that area.  On Dec. 12, shortly after 6:30 a.m., a Freightliner truck was traveling north in the right lane of the highway braked suddenly causing the load to shift and break free of its bindings, Trooper Troy Hendershot said. The load, a roll of galvanized steel, then rolled and skipped along the cement Jersey barrier, causing damage to the shoulder and barriers and causing cement debris to go into the southbound lane of Lycoming Creek Road. The operator related a deer was in the roadway, and initially thought it was a person. The first driver was cited for failing to securing the load in his vehicle. Because it was dark at the time, the cement debris was then struck by a motorist traveling southbound on Lycoming Creek Road, approximately a half mile south of Trout Run. No injuries were reported, Hendershot said.
