PSP Report Identity Theft case in Loyalsock Township

PSP Report Identity Theft case in Loyalsock Township – Pennsylvania Station Police in Montoursville reported the following crimes in Lycoming County:

IDENTITY THEFT – On Dec. 6, Michelle Tanley, 51, of 124 Woodling Lane, Muncy, in Loyalsock Township, reported that someone attempted to open a line of credit in the name of her deceased husband, Jerry Tanley, who died last month. Trooper Troy Hendershot said investigations will continue.
Also in Loyalsock Township, Brian McGarvey, 37, of Williamsport, reported that he started receiving phone calls from collection agencies in relation to multiple cell phone accounts. Trooper Buynak said McGarvey’s identifying information was used to open the account which was then closed due to unpaid bills. McGarvey reported the discovery Nov. 28, and was unaware until the collection agencies began contacting him.

THEFT – McConnell’s General Store, Route 44 in Cummings Township, reported that a suspect prepaid $20 worth of fuel Oct. 25, before pumping an additional $95 worth of fuel before leaving the business. Investigation continues of the $75 theft of fuel the suspect did not pay for before fleeing the store, Trooper Troy Hendershot said.

THEFT – Five large trees were cut down and removed from Joan Madden’s property in Muncy Creek Township. Trooper Troy Hendershot said Madden, 74, of Montoursville, said the trees were removed from a wooded area off Swamp Alley sometime during the summer months of July and August. Value of the trees is estimated at $400, Hendershot said.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF – Around 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 6, Lisa Marie Kelch, 45, of 463 Heilman Circle, Montgomery, was at Brandon Eugene Brown’s residence, 91 Odell Road, Muncy. Kelch caused damage to a screen door while at Brown’s house and was arrested for summary criminal mischief through District Judge McRae.

HARASSMENT – On Nov. 30 at 4:13 a.m., PSP responded to a report of a 911 hang up call at 1018 Butternut Grove Road, Montoursville. Trooper Daniel Kozak said upon arrival, authorities learned that a domestic incident had occurred between Justin M. Fink, 26, of Montoursville, and a 26-year-old female. No charges were filed as a result of the incident, Kozak said.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT – Two people were cited for disorderly conduct before District Judge McRae following an incident around 7 p.m. on Dec. 6. Trooper Erik Barlett said Destiny Elaine Little, 19, of 318 Mount Equity Road, Pennsdale, and a 17-year-old Hughesville male engaged in a verbal altercation in the parking lot of McDonald’s, Route 405, Hughesville in Wolf Township. The altercation escalated to screaming and yelling to the point of creating a public inconvenience, Barlett said.
