Cutters Announce 6th Annual Hot Stove Dinner

Proceeds to benefit Andrew’s Special Kids Foundation
 
The Williamsport Crosscutters have announced their 6th Annual Hot Stove Dinner & Auction with the Phillies will be held on Monday, January 23 at the Genetti Hotel in Williamsport. Special guests include; 2012 Cutters manager Andy Tracy and the Phillie Phanatic with many more guests to be announced soon.
 
Tracy played in parts of two pennant-winning seasons for the Phillies (2008-09) as part of his 16 years in professional baseball. He was drafted in the 16th round of the 1996 draft by the Montreal Expos and appeared in 149 major league games in parts of five seasons with Montreal, Colorado and Philadelphia.
 
Other guests from the Phillies and the world of sports are expected to be announced throughout the month of December.  Past guests have included Phillies players Kyle Kendrick, Chris Coste, Ryan Madsen, and J.A. Happ along with former Phillies Dick Allen, Greg Gross and Mickey Morandini plus late Phillies broadcaster Harry Kalas who was a special guest for each of the first three events.  Fans are invited to check crosscutters.com for updates as they are announced.
 
A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit Andrew’s Special Kids Foundation.  Established in 2006 by Dean and Amy Kriebel, the foundation’s mission is to “Provide special needs children with every opportunity in life which will enable them to reach their full potential by providing them with adaptive equipment, special education opportunities, safety equipment, therapies and financial assistance for out of state travel.”
 
The evening will consist of dinner, an entertainment portion, featuring interviews and question and answer segments with many of the special guests, plus Chinese and live auctions of Phillies & other sports memorabilia by T&S Auction Company.
 
One of the event highlights is the announcement of the latest inductee to the Bowman Field Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame was started in 1989 by the Bowman Field Commission and the Williamsport Bills as a way to honor those who were influential and important to the history of Bowman Field and professional baseball in Williamsport. 

The Bowman Field Hall of Fame was dormant since 1991, and was revived by the Crosscutters at the 2009 Hot Stove Banquet with the induction of the legendary Tommy Richardson.  Former Williamsport Grays manager Frank Lucchesi was inducted in 2011.  The latest inductee is expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
 
The dinner and entertainment portion of the event will begin promptly at 6:30 p.m., preceded by an hour of mingling, fun and games with Boomer and the Phillie Phanatic, plus the start of the Chinese auction.  Free autographs will be available for attendees at the close of event.
