New York Teen Charged with False Statement

New York Teen Charged with False Statement – PSP Montoursville filed charges against a Corning, New York female after she provided false information during a police investigation. Trooper Buynak said Kayla Sawyer, 19, provided a false written statement in regards to the investigation which took place on Nov. 6, shortly before 5 p.m. at 1840 E. 3rd St., Loyalsock Township.

Theft in Anthony Township – PSP Montoursville report seven copper radiators and four batteries were stolen over a three-week period from a residence in Anthony Township. Trooper Brandon Schrawder said the items were removed from the property of William L. Lee Jr., 46 of 1778 Jobs Run Road between Oct. 30 and Nov. 20.

Driver Strikes Deer in Clinton Township – Trooper Troy Hendershot said the driver of a 2007 Ford Expedition was not injured when a deer crossed his path on Nov. 29. Terry A. Lynn, 50, of Montgomery, was traveling west on Route 54 shortly after 8 p.m. when a deer entered the roadway. Lynn struck the deer, Hendershot said.

Road Rage in Loyalsock Township – PSP Montoursville reported an incident of simple assault which occurred Friday, Nov. 18 between 8:20 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. Trooper Douglass Hoffman said 34-year-old Amy Jo Carlin, of Muncy, contacted Pennsylvania State Police and made a complaint following an incident of road rage which took place in the area of Northway Road and Shiffler Avenue. Hoffman said the suspect was identified as Matthew James Showers 29, of Ashley, PA. Charges of simple assault were filed with District Judge Ken Schriner, Hoffman said.
