Burglary Reported in Muncy Creek Township

Burglary Reported in Muncy Creek Township – PSP Montoursville reported a burglary which occurred in Park Place last week. Trooper Russell Ramin said someone entered the residence of Anne Baxter Schamell, 70, of 109 Park Place North on Saturday, Nov. 12. Ramin said Schamell’s door was unlocked at the time, between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. The victim’s wallet was removed from her residence, Ramin reported.

Area Businesses Burglarized – Trooper Daniel J. Kozak reported here local businesses were burglarized last week in Montoursville. Wheels of Williamsport reported a burglary at 99 Grey Fox Drive on Nov. 11 while Windsteam Communications, Muncy, reported that someone cut wires on a telephone pole at the Montoursville site. Additionally, Phoenix Fabricators and Erectors said a ladder had been stolen from a construction site in that area. Anyone with information is asked to contact PS Montoursville at 570.368.5700.

Theft in Clinton County – PSP Lamar report two storage units were burglarized in Chapman Township. Trooper Joseph M. Cavanaugh said between the hours of 5 p.m. and 6:30 a.m. Nov. 16 to Nov. 17, U.S. Trinity Contractors of Argyle, Texas, reported two units were entered by force at 1360 Dry Run Road. Hammer drills and a portable band saw were stolen, along with a work site wheelbarrow, totaling $950. Additionally, total damages were $25, Cavanaugh said.
