Williamsport Man Accused of Forgery, Jailed

Williamsport Man Accused of Forgery, Jailed – PSP Montoursville charged a Williamsport man with forgery on Nov. 14 in Loyalsock Township. Trooper Brian Evarts said Anthony Manire, 20, went to the Community Check Cashing business located at 1758 E. Third St. around 4:40 p.m. to cash a check made out to Jeremy Kimble, 22, of Williamsport. Manire then presented a Pennsylvania Driver’s license with Kimble’s name on it, Evarts said. The employee assisting Manire felt the ID was fake and called state police. The ID was found to be bogus and charges of forgery, ID theft, criminal attempt theft by deception, violations concerning licenses and false identification to law enforcement authority charges were filed. Manire was arraigned and placed into the Lycoming County Prison on $15,000 bail, Evarts said.

Beverage Business Burglary in Wolf Township – PSP Montoursville continue to investigate a burglary which occurred during the overnight hours of Monday, Nov. 14. Trooper Daniel L. Young said Valley Beverage, located at 4919 Route 220 in Hughesville, was broken into sometime after 9 p.m. and 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 15. Once inside, the unknown individual(s) took some items, Young said.

Police Respond to Harassment in Eldred Township – PSP Montoursville report a verbal altercation that turned physical resulted in harassment charges for two people. Trooper Erik Barlett said around 2 p.m. on Nov. 14, a verbal altercation turned physical between Richard James Shaffer, 53, Lauren Marie Hrynshyn, 48, and Paul Kenneth Katzmaier, 55, all of Montoursville. During the verbal altercation, Katzmaier had unwanted physical contact with Shaffer, Barlett said. Additionally, Hrynshyn threatened to kill or do bodily harm to a fourth person at the 521 Katzmaier Road location. Harassment charges were filed against  Hrynshyn and Katzmaier, Barlett said.

•    11:01 a.m., electrical fire, 400 N. Washington St., Montoursville; Montoursville dispatched.
•    1:20 p.m., fire alarm, 1201 Grampian Blvd., Williamsport; city Bureau of Fire and SHS EMS responded.
•    4:14 p.m., tree on wires, 4200 block Rabbittown Rd., Wolf Twp.; Muncy Twp. dispatched.
•    8:38 p.m., carbon monoxide alarm, 67 Eldred St., Williamsport; city Bureau of Fire responded.
