PSP Charge Lycoming County Motorists With Suspected DUI – Montoursville police filed DUI charges on the following motorists:
• Jessica Holly Solomon, 38, who was operating a vehicle erratically on Interstate 180, westbound of the Northumberland County line on Tuesday, Sept. 13. Trooper James R. Doane said Solomon stopped at the Sunoco gas station in Pennsdale where Muncy Borough and Muncy Township police made contact around 8:30 p.m. Solomon was subsequently transported to the Muncy Valley Hospital ER for suspicion of DUI and submitted to a legal blood draw; results of said blood draw indicated Solomon was over the legal limit allowed and was charged appropriately.
• On Oct. 9, 6:47 p.m., Montoursville state Police responded to the Harvest moon restaurant in Woodward Township for a man passed out in his vehicle at the restaurant’s entrance. Trooper Brandon Schrawder said the vehicle’s gear was in the “drive” position and the engine was still running. Schrawder said located inside the vehicle was a hypodermic needle and four baggies of suspected heroin. The 44-year-old Jersey Shore man was transported by ambulance to the Jersey Shore Hospital; during an interview by state police, an odor of an alcoholic beverage was detected emitting from the operator’s person. The driver did submit to a blood test and charges of DUI along with possession of a controlled substance are pending, Schrawder said.
